BOTANICAL REBEL© is where nature stops being decoration and starts being insurgency. The piece began with an affordable human hair wig bought from eBay — a short blonde bob, unremarkable in itself — and was transformed into a living botanical sculpture through handmade human hair flowers, colour, wefts, rhinestone chain, eucalyptus, and an attitude that refuses to treat hair as something polite.
The flowers are the heart of the piece. Each one was made entirely by hand from human hair — cut, coloured, crimped, and sculpted into botanical forms that sit somewhere between wildflower and weapon. They bloom with intent, radiating outward in bursts of orange, crimson, blue, green, and violet, finished with jewelled centres and wired into position alongside rhinestone chain and eucalyptus stems.
The Making Of
The process started with a human hair wig sourced affordably from eBay — a short, wavy blonde pixie bob. The fringe was coloured underneath with permanent black tint for depth. Lime green direct dye was applied to interior panels, visible only when the hair moved or separated.
The flowers were constructed separately — lengths of human hair coloured in vivid direct dyes, cut into petal shapes, crimped, wired at the base with fine florist wire, and shaped by hand into open botanical forms. Centres were finished with beaded or jewelled details. Each flower is unique. None were bought. All were made.
Additional wefts extended the length and provided anchor points. Rhinestone chain was threaded through the right side. Eucalyptus stems were woven through the left. The styling was deliberately confrontational: heavy blonde fringe covering the eyes, flowers erupting from head and neck, punk-influenced hardware in the editorial interpretations.
This piece is the predecessor to CUBIST BLOOM© — the same handmade hair flowers were later removed and reattached to a cubist-cut wig, evolving the concept from wild botanical rebellion into structured cubist composition. BOTANICAL REBEL© is the raw original — nature before it was given geometry.
The Playful Side
Rebellion doesn't have to scowl. Sometimes it blows bubbles.
She didn't coordinate the outfit with the hair. She grew the outfit from the same soil. This is not styling. This is ecosystems.
